Terms of Service
Version 0.1, effective 27 October 2026
These terms are between you and Great Southern Software Pty Ltd (ABN 11 700 174 787) ("we", "us"), and cover your use of Great Southern Apps at greatsouthern.app. By signing in you agree to them.
1. Private beta
Great Southern Apps is in a private beta, open only to people we invite. Features may change, break or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. We will tell you before we remove anything that affects apps you have published.
2. Your account
Keep your sign-in to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with it. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
3. Your apps are yours
You own what you describe to us and the apps built for you, including their code. You can export an app's code at any time. You give us permission to store, build, run and back up your apps, and to send what you ask for and your code to our AI provider, only as needed to provide the service.
The code is written by an AI agent. Check that an app does what you need, and that it is suitable and lawful for its purpose, before you rely on it or put other people's information in it.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Great Southern Apps, or build apps with it, that:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's rights, including their privacy or intellectual property;
- attack, probe or overload other systems, or try to get around the service's limits or isolation;
- send spam or malware, or deceive people (for example by impersonating someone or collecting passwords under false pretences).
If you build an app that other people use, you are responsible for it and for how it handles their information.
5. Costs
Each app shows what it costs: the AI and cloud resources it uses, at cost, plus a margin. During the beta, how and when those costs are paid is agreed with you separately. We will tell you before anything you are charged for changes.
6. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Where we are allowed to limit our liability for breach of a non-excludable guarantee, we do: our liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
Subject to the above, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by the apps you build or how you use them. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is otherwise capped at the greater of $100 and the amount you paid us in that period.
7. Suspension and ending
We may suspend or close your access if you break these terms, or to protect the service or other people. You can stop using the service at any time. When your access ends, you can ask us for your apps' code, and we will delete your apps after giving you reasonable notice.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect and how we handle it.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you before the change takes effect. Clarifications take effect when published.
10. General
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still stands. Questions: phillip.kruger@greatsouthernsoftware.com.au.
